 Vision panels
An area of consideration for BSF design teams, when creating
inspirational environments, is the use of nonstandard vision
panels.
In addition to the standard double and single slot vision
panels commonly specified, alternative designs can be used which
still conform to the regulations set out in BS8300 and Approved
Document M.
The variations in design below are simple examples. Any design
within the parameters as stated in Minimum
Zones of Visibility are acceptable.
Inspirational facings
At Leaderflush Shapland we are always looking for ways to
enhance our offer and support initiatives such as BSF with
innovative ideas for doorsets. We are currently developing ways
to incorporate bold design with 'way finding' signage in an
inspirational, robust and cost effective manner, which could be
considered in 'special needs' areas. Using photo quality imaging
and window quality acrylic, the following designs can be
incorporated into lipped doorsets. For further information
please contact Leaderflush Shapland on 01773 530500.
The doorset designs and specifications suggested below are a
starting point on which to build. At Leaderflush Shapland we
appreciate the ethos behind the BSF initiative and the
parameters in which design teams have to work in order to
deliver these schools. We are here to offer support and guidance
on the best design solutions to meet the requirements of
individual BSF schemes.
